Abstract submission requirements

Language: English

Title: limit 150 characters including spaces

Co-authors: no limit

Main text (excluding title, authors and keywords): limit 350 words

Images and/or tables: 2 maximum, acceptable formats: JPG or PNG, resolution for web images suggested (72 PPI), size limit: 1 MB.

Keywords: limit 5 words

Predominant discipline of the abstract should be defined

Number of abstracts submission: no limits

Additional remarks

Accepted abstracts will be published in the journal Mediastinum after the meeting.

NOTE: images or tables can be included in the abstract but they are not allowed for publication in Mediastinum. The journal will contact the authors of accepted abstracts with further instructions.

Abstracts will be accepted for publication when they meet the journal requirements:

1. Abstract for Randomized Controlled Trials should follow the suggestions in “CONSORT for Reporting Randomized Controlled Trials in Journal and Conference Abstracts: Explanation and Elaboration” and be summited together with a checklist titled “Items to include when reporting a randomized trial in a journal or conference abstract”.

2. The author should also add the following statement at the footnote of the abstract: Reporting Checklist: The abstract is presented in accordance with the CONSORT for Reporting Randomized Controlled Trials in Journal and Conference Abstracts.
